LOW RESOLUTION @ DDW 22th-30th October

Introducing Low Resolution, an exhibition for Dutch Design Week 2022. Low-resolution describes a screen or photograph of poor sharpness and clarity but in the creative process a low-tech approach can be beneficial.  Counterbalancing the digitalization of  our lives, Kiki&Joost deliberately appoint the physical experience of design making as a source of exploration and inspiration, before tech. The low-tech approach safeguards their creative discipline while maintaining design clarity, high focus and their singularity.

The exhibition honours projects that use a low-resolution method to production as a core value, showcasing collaborations with the Italian companies Very Simple Kitchen and glass maker Omnidecor, Dutch textile innovation studio  BYBORRE and Sommer Glass.

Keeping alive an intuitive approach to their design practice the Studio cultivates the richness of the sensory visual experience.
