Dutch Design Week will host the international debut of Kiki & Joost’s new exhibition space\u2014a long-held dream.<\/h5>\n
Exhibition spaces owned and operated by artists or designers have a rich history, though few have been built by the creators themselves. Today, they are more important than ever, serving as an alternative to the mainstream and as a testament to a discipline that fosters creativity, collaboration, and community engagement.<\/h5>\n
\u2018Carte Blanche\u2019<\/strong> is the title of the first exhibition in the space, featuring an array of new projects, sketches, scale models, and experiments by Kiki & Joost, offering a unique insight into their creative process.<\/h5>\n
The new building, located across the courtyard from their workshop, has been designed as a symbol of creative freedom, providing additional space for experimentation. Visitors can expect to see projects presented in their raw, immediate form, with the space being flexible enough to allow exhibitions and events to evolve quickly.<\/h5>\n
